What is RNDeer?

RNDeer is the ultimate resource for new graduate nurses and nursing students still in school. Right now RNDeer is the most comprehensive list of Nurse Residency Programs and New Grad Friendly Hospitals but we have plans to expand. We currently have over 600 programs across the country which is more than any other resource out there. Our mission is to make the new graduate nursing job search as easy as possible. Wherever you are from and wherever you want to end up, we want to help you find the right job.

If you think we have missed a program, please go to the add program page and let us know about it!

Who is behind RNDeer?

RNDeer was started by David Paxton, a Commerce Student at University of Virginia, in response to complaints of his girlfriend as she went through recruiting. After hearing about all the issues surrounding the application process, he set about making the whole job search easier and create the ultimate resource for nurses. With the help of some friends, he researched the programs, built the website and set about changing the way nurses went through recruitment. If you would like to get in contact, feel free to email him at David@RNDeer.com

What is a New Grad Residency Program?

For those of us who are not nursing students, a New Grad Residency Program is typically a 6 month to year long program designed to aid in the transition from nursing school to a full time job. With a variety of classes, mentorship and practical exercises, residency programs help get nurses ready to deal with any challenge.

Does RNDeer cost anything?

Nope! Unlike other websites, we don’t charge you for our information. You are free to browse our list of hospitals with RN programs at your leisure.

How is RNDeer hoping to expand?

RNdeer is currently the most comprehensive list of RN programs around the US. However, we aspire to not only be a source of RN information, but a central application hub for all RN programs. We are working with hospitals to get this put in place sometime in the next couple years but unfortunately cannot implement it presently.

How do I work at RNDeer?

RNDeer is currently hiring, please head over to our Careers page to find out more.

Can I donate to RNDeer?

Yes! While we don’t want to be pushy, we are happy to receive donations. Small donations keep the website running and allow the founders to eat while living without an income!
